GHA Public Meeting: vacancy for next Director General released

The vacancy for the next GHA Director General has been published.

Kevin McGee will leave the post by the end of the month.

He confirmed this to GBC at the GHA's public meeting today.

At the packed meeting, the Minister for Health announced a new Oncology Suite at St Bernard's Hospital is set to open before the end of next month.

Gemma Arias-Vasquez said real reform and progress has been made in the last two years towards a stronger, fairer and more modern service.

The meeting looked at issues including future-proofing the GHA, the sustainability of the workforce, and investment in IT.

It was held at the Mayor's Parlour in City Hall; Shelina Assomull was there.
