AI and the speed at which technology is evolving were at the heart of an insurance breakfast which took place at the DAC Beachcroft offices in the City of London.

The insurance sector is one of the leading adopter of AI technologies.

They're extensive and transformative - can save time, and improve the customer experience. But many agreed the use of AI carries with it regulatory risks.

Minister for Trade and Industry, Nigel Feetham introduced a video featuring financial services professionals discussing what makes Gibraltar a special place to work and live.

The Minister then did a live demonstration of the Government’s pilot chat bot, which can answer tax questions in multiple languages.

The Distributed Ledger Technology event followed the insurance breakfast at the offices of DAC Beachcroft.

The Minister for Financial Services, Nigel Feetham, welcomed guests, with a programme of keynote speakers and panel discussions for the afternoon.

Promoting Gibraltar as an agile and serious jurisdiction for business was the Chairman of the Gibraltar Association of New Technologies.

Addressing guests, Targ Patience said the sector is attracting first-class firms, as the Rock continues to drive forward innovation and regulation.

He said it was important to consolidate Gibraltar’s position in the market, adding today’s conversations will shape who we are and what we do in the future.

Speaking on Gibraltar Today, broadcast live from the event, Sam Buxton, Founder and Chairman of DAMEX gave some advice on how to stay ahead of the curve, while BITSO CEO Dan Vogel said he sees crypto as taking over from traditional systems.
