Gibraltar is now integrated into the European child helpline network.

Statistics such as a 40 % increase in domestic abuse as a reason for calling, prove Childline serves an important role as part of a multi-agency approach.

CEO Caroline Carter was on Gibraltar Today where she explained what difference the expansion would make to the services offered by the charity.

In Gibraltar Childline receives around 500-800 calls a year- 40 contacts a month.

Most calls centre around mental health with the feedback from children showing a significant rise in families feeling increased pressure.
