Giving blood: 1,800 donors registered on the Rock

Around 5% of Gibraltar's population are blood donors. GHA Phlebotomy Nurse Practitioner Elaine Francis says it's a positive figure, though more donors are always welcome.

She highlights blood is not just used in trauma situations, but in many others. It takes 10 minutes and can ultimately save a life.
