Government calls on unite to consider GHA review in their AHP claim

The Government says it fully recognises and values the essential role played by Allied Health Professionals in delivering healthcare at the GHA.

Responding to concerns raised by Unite the Union, it says the Health Authority is open to reviewing the AHPs' pay claim. However, it highlights that the core issues are linked to the wider rollout of the Authority's Agenda for Change review, meaning any changes made could affect hundreds of other staff across various roles.

Given this wider impact, the Government has urged the union to include their claim as part of the wider review, so that all affected staff can have a fair say.

Unite has called a demonstration for next Thursday afternoon in support of its AHP members at the Authority and at ERS.
