Health Minister says organ donation turns tragic circumstances into hope and positivity

Minister for Health & Care, Gemma Arias-Vasquez, says the GHA is setting up a framework for organ donations to happen more frequently.

The first successful organ donation in Gibraltar happened last week, and the Minister expects more people will come forward to become organ donors as a result.

Ms Arias-Vasquez told GBC the agreement between the Health Authority and the NHS Blood and Transplant team, set up a number of years ago, was instrumental in bringing this positive and hopeful end to tragic circumstances.
