HMS Dragon arrives in Gibraltar

The Royal Navy Destroyer HMS Dragon has arrived in Gibraltar.
The type 45 warship left Portsmouth on March 10th.
Her deployment to Cyprus comes in response to an Iranian drone strike that hit the sovereign base RAF Akrotiri on March 1st, penetrating air defences and striking a hangar close to residential areas.
In response to GBC questions, the Ministry of Defence said, "As part of her pre-planned programme, HMS Dragon will make short stop in Gibraltar to take on stores and conduct a personnel changeover."
The MoD said, “HMS Dragon is continuing her transit to the Eastern Mediterranean, where she will play a vital role in safeguarding UK assets and interests in the region."
