A Gibraltar resident has pleaded not guilty to an offence under the Terrorism Act after allegedly carrying a placard bearing messages supporting the proscribed organisation Hamas.
65 year old Anthony Farrell was arrested by the police while walking towards the city centre yesterday.
RGP Special Branch investigated the case and he was later charged.
He appeared at the Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning, and said he was ‘absolutely not guilty’.
Mr Farrell also said he didn’t want a lawyer.
He was granted £250 bail, and his case was adjourned until next month.
