A Manager at the Care Agency appeared at court this morning facing charges relating to indecent images of children.

41 year old Anthony Jurado  indicated he would plead Not Guilty to three counts of taking indecent photographs and videos of children - 80 in total.

He also denied the one further count of the possession of an indecent moving image of children, as well as four videos depicting extreme pornography.

The St Bernadette’s Resource Manager faces five charges in total. The charges, dating back to November 2024, are related to offences said to have been carried out between 2019 and December 2024.

Half of the child abuse images allegedly found in Anthony Jurado’s possession are said to fall into the most serious category.

Due to the type of offence, the case will be heard in the Supreme Court.

In the meantime, the defendant, a Beachview Terraces resident, has been granted bail by the courts.

His bail conditions include no unsupervised contact with children, not deleting his internet history, reporting to the police station every two months, and allowing officers to inspect his devices upon request.

Mr Jurado’s next appearance is scheduled for March, with a committal hearing in May.
