Ensuring emergency services are aware of medical conditions is the aim behind an initiative reintroduced by the Supported Needs and Disability Office, the GHA emergency services, and the Lions Club.

In the "Message in a Bottle" scheme, an information sheet is put inside a bottle and kept in the fridge - while the "Message in Your Wallet" scheme sees people carry that sheet with them in their wallets.

The aim is to make vital medical information readily available in an emergency.

Details to be aware of include:

· Personal Details
· Illnesses / Disabilities
· Allergies
· Repeat Medication
· Doctor / Carer Details
· Emergency Contacts
