Gibraltar and the EU/UK Treaty has featured in Commons yesterday with the Minister for Europe, Stephen Doughty describing the agreement as welcome and significant.
Liberal Democrat, Al Pinkerton asked the Minister to commit himself to bringing the treaty to the House at the first possible opportunity.
Both Labour's Amanda Martin and Lib Dem Al Pinkerton told the Parliament they had visited Gibraltar at the invitation of the Government and had included this as an entry in the Register of Members' Financial Interests.
As Chair of the All-Party parliamentary Group, Ms martin said the group wholeheartedly welcome the treaty. She asked for assurances that the treaty will produce economic benefits for Gibraltarians and an increase in the prospects of tourism.
Thanking the group for its work, Stephen Doughty said there would be important benefits for the economy, jobs and people.
He said there could be more flights into Gibraltar from elsewhere in Europe, which he added will be very positive for Gibraltar and the region.
