The Museum Open Day saw visitors gain an insight into Gibraltar’s cultural and natural heritage on Saturday morning in celebration of International Museum Day.
The day has been celebrated locally since 2002.
This year's theme ‘The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities’ was set by the International Council of Museums. It highlights the evolving role of museums in time of change.
Entry to both the National Museum at Bomb House Lane and the Natural History Museum at Parson’s Lodge was free to the community.
Those attending took part in activities such as educational workshops and lectures. For the younger visitors, face painting, crafts, and treasure hunts were on offer.
People were also invited what research the museum is currently conducting on birds and bats.
