The conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate, with ongoing strikes between U.S. and Israeli forces and Iran, and growing fears of a wider regional war.
And today, the Royal Navy warship, HMS Dragon, arrived in Gibraltar, as part of her transit to the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Ministry of Defence says HMS Dragon's visit is part of a pre-planned programme, allowing the ship to take on supplies and carry out a crew change, as she continues her deployment in the region.
While the conflict is unfolding thousands of miles away, questions are being asked about what it could mean for Gibraltar.
The most recent assessment, from September 2024, puts Gibraltar’s terrorism threat level at MODERATE - meaning an attack is possible, but not likely.
The Government declined to comment when approached by GBC last week.
Meanwhile, authorities are urging people to check official travel advice, be cautious of misinformation, and be mindful of potential impacts on global fuel prices.
