Opposition claims latest affordable housing update must 'stick in the gullet' for purchasers
The Opposition says the latest Government announcement on affordable housing dates must 'stick in the gullet' for who it says are "long-suffering" purchasers.
Number Six published photos of progress made at Bob Peliza Mews and Chatham Views earlier this week.
The GSD stresses Bob Peliza Mews was first announced 10 years ago and Chatham Views 8 years ago.
It believes the Government should be apologising to those who've had their lives on hold during this period, as well as the new generation who have come of age within the last ten years and are now stuck in limbo without access to affordable housing.
The Opposition claims to know many mid 20 -30 year-olds who earn decent wages and hope for independent lives but can't afford open market prices.
The Shadow Housing Minister says Government should deliver the homes in an affordable timely manner. Damon Bossino claims the GSLP should have the humility to acknowledge they've failed to do so in respect of these developments.
He highlights Government has not revealed when phase two of Bob Peliza Mews will be complete.
