This week the Justice Minister has told GBC he is considering introducing chemical castration for the most serious sexual offences, including rape and crimes involving children.

Nigel Feetham said the idea would only apply in what he describes as “very serious cases”, but stressed there are likely to be significant legal and human rights considerations and he has written to the UK Government to get their view.

GBC took to town this morning to ask people what they thought of the idea - with some confusion over what chemical castration actually is.
