Reduced footprint for project close to Cross of Sacrifice

An entire building has been axed from plans for a development close to the Cross of Sacrifice, following approval from the Development and Planning Commission.

Monument Place and Plaza on Devil's Tower Road were set to span the area behind the Cross of Sacrifice as well as five floors on top of the existing car park next door - now the plan to build on top of the car park is the only part that will go ahead.  The developers will also create a further 20 car parking space, which they will hand over to Gibralar Car Parks.

The building that's been scrapped was going to house the Gibraltar College, but those plans were abandoned earlier this year.
