Officers at the Port Authority have completed a search and rescue course at management level, ending in a full-scale realistic exercise.

Eight officers took part in the three-day course, delivered by the University of Gibraltar’s Maritime Academy in collaboration with the UK’s Maritime Skills Academy.

The course covered both theory and practice, with a combination of lectures and daily practical sessions in the Bay.

The Port says this has strengthened Gibraltar’s search and rescue capabilities, and reinforced its commitment to professional development.
