Public servants have received training on how to support people with disabilities.

This included training for Government staff on reasonable adjustment and the procedures for implementing these.

The Supported Needs and Disability Office also delivered training to Defence Police recruits and newly-recruited Royal Gibraltar Police detention officers.

A workshop was also held for the Department of Education on PE lessons for students who have mobility issues or visual impairments.

Minister for Equality, Christian Santos, said, "For there to be a culture change in our community where we see persons with disabilities as equals, we must begin with awareness. These training sessions led by the SNDO are crucial to change mindsets, take on responsibility and embed the rights of persons with disabilities.”
