Three arrested for assault at Western Beach car park

Three people have been arrested in relation to a reported assault at Western Beach car park on Thursday evening.

The Royal Gibraltar Police said it received a report that a man was being repeatedly kicked and hit with a hockey stick.

It says officers arrived and arrested those involved as they were about to drive away.

The police say officers administered first aid to the man for injuries to his head and body, before he was taken to St Bernard's Hospital.

They arrested two men aged 19 and 18, and a 17 year old boy, on suspicion of affray, wounding with intent, and carrying an offensive weapon.

The RGP says the investigation has been taken over by detectives from the Crime and Protective Services Division.
