Cautious optimism amidst long standing concerns - Mental Health Board reflects on 2025 report

The Mental Health Board Report for 2025 repeats several concerns expressed in previous years, including the call for a code of practice for mental health be published.  The government originally committed to formalising one as part of Gibraltar's mental health strategy for 2021-26

Chair of the Board, George Parody, also highlighted the group's work in opposing the proposed move of the acute ward in Ocean Views, to the upcoming Mental Health Hub.

While the annual state of play for Gibraltar's mental health services illustrates the lack of progress in some areas, Mr Parody feels sure that there continues to be a general upward trajectory year on year.
