Chief Minister invites Opposition Leader to confidential briefing on UK–EU Gibraltar Treaty

The Chief Minister has formally invited the Leader of the Opposition to attend a confidential briefing on the UK EU Treaty in respect of Gibraltar ahead of public release..

This follows what Government describes as a final and stable draft of the Treaty text.

The meeting will be held on confidential groups, although the fact of the meeting will be made public.

It has been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at Six Convent Place. Keith Azopardi has confirmed he will attend with relevant shadow ministers.

The Government says the aim is to ensure clarity and informed scrutiny ahead of the ratification process.
