Free and extended bus service during festive period

The Ministry of Transport has announced special arrangements for Gibraltar’s bus service over the Christmas and New Year period, including extended night services and free travel during late hours.

The hours are as follows

Friday 19th to Tuesday 23rd Dec

First Trip - 21:10 - Last Trip 02:00

Wednesday 24th Dec (Last Trip of Daytime Route at 19:00hrs).

First Trip - 19:30 - Last Trip 02:00

Thursday 25th Dec to Tuesday 30th Dec

First Trip - 21:10 - Last Trip 02:00

Wednesday 31st Dec (Last Trip of Daytime Route at 19:00hrs).

First Trip - 19:30 - Last Trip 02:00

Thursday 1st Jan 2026 to Monday 5th Jan 2026

First Trip - 21:10 - Last Trip 02:00

All night bus services during this period will be free of charge.

The Ministry says the measures are intended to support residents during the festive season, when travel increases, while also encouraging safer transport choices. The Ministry has reiterated its strong condemnation of drink driving and is urging people to use public transport wherever possible.
