The GEMA Gallery is celebrating 10 years.

Over the years, the space has been used to showcase unique and diverse local artistic talent.

Cultural Services has announced a special programme to mark the anniversary, with Kitchen Studios returning to the space where they first held an open studio session.

Opened in November 2015, the Gibraltar Exhibitions of Modern Art Gallery, was promoted as a 'unique gallery space' and it has certainly proved to be just that over the years.

Local artists have showcased their talents here in the last decade, with Kitchen Studios in particular leaving their mark on the space. And now they're back for the next three months.

GEMA was launched with the aim of celebrating the work of Gibraltarian artists. When we were there for the start of Kitchen's take over, there was live music and life drawing session, the gallery continuing to innovate 10 years on.

And the future looks bright as there are plans for 2026, with painting exhibitions, audio-visual installations and other works, including an 'Artists Corner' initiative.
