A Gibraltar-born entrepreneur has launched a specialist electrolyte and vitamin solution designed to support women experiencing pregnancy sickness, after her own experience of Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a severe form of the condition.

Laura Milward co-founded Replenish with Laura Moore, a business partner she met in Gibraltar through their shared connection to the Royal Gibraltar Regiment. The product has been developed and manufactured to UK standards and is now available internationally.

Ms Milward, who gave birth to her daughter at St Bernard's Hospital, says her experience of pregnancy sickness showed her how limited the options available to women in that situation were.

The founders are in early discussions with UK retailers and healthcare partners, and the product is being positioned as the first solution developed specifically for pregnancy sickness sufferers.

Replenish is also supporting Pregnancy Sickness Support, a UK charity, donating one pound from every box sold.

Laura Milward said Gibraltar played a central role in bringing the business to life.

"Gibraltar has a way of bringing people together. We met here, had a few honest conversations and quickly realised we had complementary skills and a shared ambition to build something meaningful."
