Literary Festival gets underway

The Literary Festival got underway Monday morning, kicking off a week that promises to keep the most energetic book lovers occupied.

Dozens of authors will feature across multiple venues right through until Sunday: at book launches and pop-up shops, as well as delivering educational programmes.

Today, James Mayhew guided students through the tales that inspired classical music in a workshop in John Mackintosh Hall; Alice Mascarenhas promoted her latest collection of columns, and Charlie Cumbo took readers down memory lane with a book about Gibraltar's football history.
