The prosecution has closed its case in the sexual offences trial of a police officer at the Supreme Court.
33 year old Elliot Brooke stands accused of attempted rape and sexual assault.
Giving evidence, PC Steven Milward told the court it was unusual for officers at New Mole House Police Station to all leave for coffee during a shift.
This follows previous evidence in which the court heard the alleged incident happened when the pair were alone.
PC Milward said he returned to the control room after his break and asked for Sergeant Brooke, but that no one had seen him or the complainant.
He said he later saw two shadows pass a window towards the women’s toilets.
Statements were also read out from other officers who said they hadn't seen any unusual behaviour that night.
The defendant denies all allegations.
The case for the Crown has now concluded, and the trial will continue with the defence case.
