The Spanish Premier has visited the Campo de Gibraltar as part of the Spanish Government’s response to Storm Leonardo.

In San Roque, he met local officials and reviewed the impact of flooding caused by the Rio Guadiaro, which earlier this week forced the evacuation of hundreds of residents.

Speaking to the media, Pedro Sánchez said he had visited the emergency coordination centre and carried out an aerial inspection of affected areas in the province of Cádiz.

He praised the work of public services and urged calm and caution ahead of the weekend, with further severe weather forecast for the area.
