Unite shared some of the fundamental expectations to which the union believes workers should be entitled.

The union's Kevin Martinez told those in attendance on Wednesday morning that ‘no worker should face threats, harassment, verbal abuse or violence simply for doing their job.’

He said ‘every person deserves respect, dignity and protection in the workplace’.

Mr Martinez emphasised that the best way to honour workers in the past was to take care of workers today.
