The Strait of Gibraltar Association Trust has made an emergency donation to support families affected by recent flooding in northern Morocco.

The Trust donated one thousand pounds, around twelve thousand Moroccan dirhams, to assist families displaced by floods in Ksar El Kebir and surrounding areas, with support also reaching neighbouring towns including Asilah.

The funds are being used to provide essential items such as food, blankets, hygiene products and other basic necessities for families who have been forced to leave their homes and rely on temporary accommodation.

The Trust has thanked trustee Kevin Parody, who is on the ground coordinating with local authorities, charities and community groups to ensure aid reaches those most in need. Supplies already distributed include blankets, pyjamas and groceries, with further deliveries planned.

The Trust says the response has been made possible thanks to the continued generosity of the Gibraltar community and has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in times of crisis.
