The GSD is calling on Nigel Feetham to make a ministerial statement to Parliament at the next sitting on Monday, setting out the nature of discussions he had with UK Ministers in London.
It also asks what, if any, mitigation measures might be available, and what any likely impact on Gibraltar’s tax revenues will be.
The Opposition says the news is of economic concern given the sector is a major employer and tax contributor.
It says it follows Mr Feetham's own previous statements to the press that a significant UK gaming tax rate rise could have a “devastating” impact, as well as on his lobbying efforts in the UK.
