GSD: Principal Auditor's report shows overtime remains 'uncontrolled'

The GSD says the latest Principal Auditor's report shows that overtime issues remain uncontrolled, despite the Government's assertion last year that it had put in place strict measures.

The GSD highlights Tony Sacramento's statement that "the introduction of better controls and a change in conditions could provide instant and considerable relief to the taxpayer".

The Leader of the Opposition says the taxpayer is having to bail out a Government that is, he says, "unable or unwilling" to make changes.

Keith Azopardi says "this means there is less money for you, for investment or for pay rises or tax reductions".
