The Heritage Trust has expressed concerns over the use of heavy machinery on a listed site without a heritage licence.

The work is taking place on the southern side of the Charles V Wall, and on top of a section of Flat Bastion, both protected structures.

The Trust says the Government gave assurances these works would be stopped. Number Six says there are no works taking place, but rather an investigation.
