There is the possibility of a power outage tonight, with works to be carried out for the testing and commissioning of the new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
The Electricity Authority says the works will take place from midnight.
It says while disruption is unlikely, a temporary power outage is possible during the tests.
The GEA says the tests are being carried out overnight to minimise impact, when electricity demand is at its lowest.
The Minister with responsibility for the GEA, Gemma Arias-Vasquez, will be on site observing during the testing.
The Electricity Authority says the commissioning of the BESS is “a significant step in strengthening Gibraltar’s energy resilience and supporting long-term sustainability objectives”.
