This year’s Safer Gambling Conference focused on customer interactions, and the challenges faced by operators in communicating with customers on topics related to safe gambling.

The event brought together consultants and directors from the sector, including gambling commissioner, Andrew Lyman, and representatives from the University’s Centre of Excellence in Responsible Gaming.

Head of the Centre, Andrea Czako, told Iain Triay Clarence she was not aware of any research into problem gambling in Gibraltar, so she couldn't comment on whether there was an issue on the Rock.

The conference follows the news that Remote Gaming Duty will rise to 40% next year - from 21%, with Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, saying she was targeting online gambling because it was associated with the highest levels of harm.
