Unite has called an end to an industrial dispute over what it previously described as the "compulsory retirement" of one of its members at the Port.

The union and the Port Authority Launch Crew membership had said this was "redundancy to achieve the aim of reducing headcount".

Unite says despite delays, anxieties and disagreements, the dispute has been resolved and the person in question is able to continue their service.

Regional Officer, Donovan Correia, thanked the Port and the Government for their help in making the resolution possible.
